November to March is the best time to visit Thailand as the weather is more pleasant. April and May are very hot and the rainy season i.e June – October is highly unpredictable. Heavy rainfall may not allow the travelers to take up water activities or boat rides.
VISA on arrival is offered to Indians for 15 days. The tourist VISA is not extendable, except in case of illness that prevents the tourist from travelling. Tourists need to apply for visas at one of the 15 immigration checkpoints. Applicants need to produce the application form with their photograph ( 2 ½ inches) attached. They also need to give a proof of possession of 10,000 Baht per person or 20,000 Baht per family as living expenses. Another essential is a full paid ticket that is usable within 15 days since the date of entry.
April – June is the hottest season in Thailand with very high humidity levels as well. Light natural fabrics are the best. However, it is suggested to avoid very short shorts/hot pants and sleeveless tees/tops in public, even when it is very hot. Sunscreen, sun hat, and sunglasses are other essentials to carry in summers. Mosquito-repellent bands or lotions should also be used. July – September is the rainy season. In addition to light fabrics, it is also suggested to carry long pants and full sleeve shirts/tees. Raincoats and umbrellas are very handy in the season. October – November is a pleasant season. It is suggested to carry a mix of light woolens and light fabrics in this season because the days are still hot while nights are cool.
Vegetarian, non-vegetarian, and Jain meals are provided. It is a kind request to the bookers to mention it to the travel agent at the time of booking so that prior arrangements can be made accordingly. Meals are usually priced at INR 400 per meal per person.
